Wisconsin

The Republicans were elected in Wisconsin under the pretense of creating jobs.  I understand why the new Republican majority in the state legislature wanted to cut down on salary and benefits, and the unions agreed to these concessions.   I find it interesting to see that the Republican majority are using the powers vested to them to strip public workers of their collective bargaining rights guaranteed to the workers in their contracts.  This resembles the actions of a dishonest individual, and I enjoyed watching the prank call (link below & its about 20 minutes) where a prominent conservative (actually a talk show personality) is speaking to Governor Walker of Wisconsin about the plan of action.  So when you turn on the news and see Charlie Sheen. don't get upset that anything  Charlie Sheen does is not news.  Just know that people just need a distraction because if they obsess over the fact that people like this are their elected officials, they would go crazy.

tl;dr version: Republicans are overstepping their bounds in Wisconsin and their Governor was recorded being his dishonest self.  So its either covering Charlie Sheen in the news and laugh, or cover this guy and cry.

  6. What bothers me is that this is actually going on in Ohio as well but with our teachers, and its not getting any coverage what so ever, and in the legislation the teacher's health care gets cut, and they can't go on strike or protest or they lose it all.
